Renewing an Overdue IFZA License
The company transferred to us 58 days into an overdue license, with two penalties already charged. Two weeks remained before the amount doubled — we made it.
Cost breakdown
AED 4,000 of the total is pure penalties that timely renewal would have avoided.
The task
An IT company (FZCO) transferred to us from another corporate services agent. Both the license and the establishment card had been overdue for almost two months, with first-month penalties already charged. Fourteen days remained before second-month penalties applied.
- Tight deadline. The company was 58 days into the overdue period, and every delay added new penalties.
- Change of agent. Access and documents had to be obtained from the previous provider.
- Two overdue documents. The license and the establishment card are renewed through separate procedures, each carrying its own penalty.
- Operational risk. An overdue license exposes the company to account freezes and blocked visa operations.
