Corporate Tax Return Filing UAE
Annual UAE Corporate Tax return filing — due 9 months after financial year-end. We prepare financials, calculate taxable income, apply QFZP and Small Business Relief where eligible, and file on FTA portal.
Annual CT Return — End-to-End Filing
UAE Corporate Tax returns are due 9 months after financial year-end. For a company with a 31 December year-end, the first return is due 30 September. The return requires audited or reviewed financial statements (mandatory for Free Zone Persons), taxable income calculation, QFZP qualification analysis if relevant, transfer pricing documentation for related-party transactions, and tax payment via FTA portal.
Mistakes in the first CT return are the most expensive — incorrect QFZP classification can convert a 0% return into 9%, retroactively. Wrong transfer pricing can trigger additional assessments. Missed disclosures (e.g. related-party transactions, foreign income) can void exemptions. We handle the entire annual cycle from books-to-return.

Frequently Asked Questions
9 months after the end of each financial year (Tax Period). Example: financial year ending 31 December 2024 — return due 30 September 2025. The same deadline applies for tax payment. Both can be done in stages but final by 9 months.
A return must still be filed (showing zero or loss). Tax losses can be carried forward up to 100% to offset future profits, subject to certain restrictions. Zero return still requires audited financials if Free Zone or above thresholds.
Insight CT compliance retainer typically: AED 8,000-25,000/year depending on business size and complexity. This usually includes monthly bookkeeping, quarterly forecasts, annual return preparation, and audit coordination. Tax payment itself is separate.
Late filing: AED 500-20,000 per return. Late payment: 4% per month accruing on the unpaid tax. Underreporting (intentional): up to 300% of the tax shortfall. We manage filings well in advance to avoid all penalties.
Mandatory for Free Zone Persons claiming QFZP, entities above AED 50M revenue, and groups with transfer pricing requirements. We work with Insight's audit partners — typically AED 8K-25K depending on complexity.
