RERA Licensing for Dubai Real Estate Brokers

RERA — Real Estate Regulatory Agency — is the regulator overseeing all Dubai property transactions. Any business or individual brokering property sales, rentals, or property management requires RERA approval IN ADDITION to a DET trade license. Individual real-estate brokers need a RERA Broker ID + completed RERA training (Dubai Real Estate Institute) before operating.

RERA setup is significantly more involved than standard licensing: company-level RERA registration, financial soundness checks, mandatory training programs, individual broker IDs for each operating agent, and ongoing compliance with DLD reporting requirements. Insight handles end-to-end RERA setup including the Dubai Real Estate Institute coordination.

Generally no — RERA only registers DET (Mainland) entities for direct property brokerage in Dubai. Free Zone real-estate consulting (advisory, marketing) is sometimes possible, but actual brokerage requires DET + RERA.
